Valtra Gives F Series Compact Tractors New Stage V FPT Engines
Valtra launched new F Series tractors with all-new 2.8-litre, four-cylinder FPT engines at the Eima (International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition) trade show in Bologna in mid-November. Designed for specialist applications on fruit farms, vineyards, and other specialised operations, the compact F Series range was previously equipped with a Stage IIB power plant. The new engine meets European Union Stage V emissions standards and brings up to 10% higher torque to the table, Valtra says. Three transmissions will be available. Deliveries are to begin in second quarter 2023.

The F Series includes the 75-horsepower (55-kilowatt) F75, 90-HP (67-kW) F95, and 101-HP (75-kW) F105 models. Maximum available torque is 350 newton-metres (258 pounds-foot), 370 nm (273 lbs-ft), and 415 nm (306 lbs-ft), respectively. The tractors are available with a standard open operating station with rollover protection system (ROPS), a standard cab, or a narrow cab. The open station version is 1.5 metres (4.9 feet) wide and as low as 1.4 m (4.6 ft). The standard cab version is also 1.5 m wide, while the narrow cab configuration, which is designed for vineyard use, is just 1.3 m (4.25 ft) wide.
Customers can equip the F Series tractors with two or three hydraulic pumps and up to four implement valves. The tractors, which have an up to 3-tonne (3.3-U.S.-ton) lift capacity, are also available with flow control and mid-mounted quick couplers. A specially shaped chassis and front axle design allow for a 55-degree wheel angle and tight turns with a 3.6-m (11.8-ft) radius. Valtra offers a choice of 24- and 28-inch rear wheels that match with 16- to 20-in. front wheels.
